White oak Console table

This 46″ white oak coffee table is made from 8/4 white oak. It is finished with a dark walnut danish oil and topped with a dull rubbed top coat.

Starts with 8/4 white oak boards.
Material then gets cut to a rough length and glued together in order to get the desired width.
The pieces are then cut to size and dry fitted to ensure the desired look is achieved.
Once the layout is complete slip tenons are laid out and mortises are cut.
Danish oil is then applied to the interior and then once dried a clear topcoat is sprayed over it. Once the finishes are dry the slip tenons are glued in place and the piece is clamped together.
The interior is then taped off so that the exterior can be sprayed.
Three coats of paint are applied.
Once the paint is dry the legs are installed into the recessed area allowing for a flush/seamless fit.
