cherry entry table

This 60″ long 30″ tall entry table is made from solid cherry cut from the clients family’s property. This table was built to the client’s specifications in order to fit the specific location. It is finished with a dull rubbed top coat.

Starts with random width and thickness cherry slabs.
Material then gets flattened using a router sled.
Once the slabs are flattened they are cut to a rough shape.
The next step is to use a carving wheel in order to obtain the final shape.
After the grinding process is complete sanding begins.
As each individual piece is completed the table begins to take shape.
Once all pieces are completed the finishing process begins.
A sanding sealer is applied followed by two dull rubbed top coats.
The individual pieces are then left to full cure before assembling the table.
The table is then assembled using hidden fasteners.
